See An Enemy

All the great super heroes had at least one master nemesis.  Growing up in front of the television I learned from cartoons that evil was always lurking behind every corner.  No wonder I came to believe that we lived in an unsafe world that required hyper-vigilance.     Mom’s OCD (obsessive conspiracy disorder) often provided fanciful yet conceivable theories that no doubt become fodder for my own creative license.

Even my own sane friends each seems to have their hands (or minds) full of perceived villains.  From the co-worker in the next cubical who is most certainly judging our work ethic to the thoughtless teenager (repetitively redundant) who stole our favorite brazier.  No one seems to be immune from malinterpretations of an otherwise meaningless world.

Yes in this illusory world that exists mostly in the confine of our own mental noise, it seems we each see an enemy around every corner.  Ahh to be that little Clown Fish on the coral reef at home among Sea Anemone what leap of evolution would it take for us to transform our environs?
