Energy Blitz

I had an interesting brief flare today after lunch.  I went upstairs to my bed to rest and wait for it to pass and my old dog, Taco sat up and came right over to my face.  She brought her eyes right next to mine and took a long slow breath with her nose right next to my mouth.  I realized that I was breath holding … so I took her queue and took in a long breath and let it out slowly.

I held her close and whispered into her ear — “I allow all that is happening right now.  I allow this to be as it is.  Not as my mind is telling me.  I allow this.  I allow this.”  Strangely enough, there was this wonderful shift.  Taco must have felt it too, because she moved away on the bed and just lay down — as if her job was over.  And just as that energy left my body … the little dog Dalai, just went insane.  (Not unusual for her — she’s still very puppy.)  She jumped up and down all around me … barking, growling, shaking.  She was a Tasmanian Devil.

All the while I kept my eyes on Taco and maintained this deep peace between the two of us.  It was as if all that wild energy had left my body and entered the puppy.  And just then, as quickly as it came and passed through me, Dalai stopped dead still.  She had such a puzzled blank look on her face.  She slowly crept behind me and nuzzled into my bed pillows as calm and peace filled as could be.
