We all scream for ice-cream

I scream ♫ you scream ♪ we all scream ♫ for ice-cream ♪   Especially when we find out our favorite frosty contains Anit-Freeze!!!  I may be a bit behind the times, since Unilever has been in the news since 2006 (Creamy, Healtheir Ice cream?  What’s the Catch?)  But when I noticed that the new mighty mini popcycle I was about to buy contained something called “ice structuring protein” I decided to become an informed consumer and read up a little on this new fangled in-greed-invent.

For some, the jury is still out on the impact of GMO’s in our food chain.  But regardless of where you stand on the issue, wouldn’t it be NICE to KNOW when there is genetically modified fish protein in your 31 flavors?  Currently 64 countries ban or require GMO labeling.  Why isn’t the United States one of them?
