<\/p>\nIt’s free admission to DisneyLand on your birthday!\u00a0 But I won’t be venturing out to the magic kingdom … not this year, not yet.\u00a0 But perhaps once again one day as my body heals.\u00a0<\/p>\n

What I do have on this day of rebirth is the first blanket of snow on our mountain tops that I can see from my bedroom window.\u00a0 What a gift from the Universe indeed.\u00a0 Southern California does snow right!\u00a0 We can see it on the mountains from the comfort and warmth of our valley homes but we never have to shovel to get to our cars like we did when I grew up back east.\u00a0 Brrrrrr.\u00a0 I remember those days, the bitter cold, the wind chill factor and the frost bitten toes.\u00a0<\/p>\n
I was actually quite stunned this morning when I noticed that a little bird bath in my yard had a thin layer of ice floating atop from the chill we had during the night. What a gift to make me giggle inside. In only moments the thin ice melted in the warm sun when I picked it up for this picture.\u00a0 Ahhh yes … we do snow right.<\/p>\n

I decided that I wouldn’t make any plans or expectations for myself today.\u00a0 I would not tell myself to be brave <\/em>when the POTS flairs hit.\u00a0 I wouldn’t coax the waves with a come hither look, nor would I plan to push them away.\u00a0 Today I would allow myself the space to just FLOW with whatever came into my experience … I would welcome the thoughts too … like the No DisneyLand for you Blues that sometimes plays background music in my brain.<\/p>\n
