Egoic Mind:<\/em> Why is it that the pain brings on such feelings of fear and helplessness?\u00a0 It makes me feel as if I am losing my mind.<\/p>\n

GNANI:<\/strong> Who is it that fears loosing the mind?\u00a0 Can you watch it?<\/p>\n

Egoic Mind:<\/em> Me.\u00a0 It feels like me.\u00a0 This being.\u00a0 This body.<\/p>\n

GNANI: <\/strong> The body doesn’t care …. It loses the mind willingly every night and welcomes the chance to do so.<\/p>\n

Egoic Mind: <\/em> It’s the only ‘me’ that I know.\u00a0 It remembers every step of my childhood and is terrified of the future.\u00a0 It’s ME.<\/p>\n

GNANI:<\/strong> The egoic mind is a simple collection of memories and patterned responses.\u00a0 Little more than a preprogrammed video game.\u00a0 Is that ‘you’?<\/p>\n

Egoic Mind: <\/em>Stuck inside the constraints of my programming?\u00a0 YES.\u00a0 That’s me.<\/p>\n

GNANI:<\/strong> I AM.\u00a0 The taste of this vast emptiness is here too.\u00a0 You — egoic mind — can not deny that.\u00a0 I AM … Beyond your small stories and captive fear.\u00a0 EMPTY and peaceful.\u00a0 Bliss.<\/p>\n

Egoic Mind:<\/em> I can taste that.\u00a0 But the fear is still mounting.<\/p>\n

GNANI:<\/strong> Let both grow!\u00a0 See WHO is left standing after the swell.<\/p>\n

Egoic Mind:<\/em> I will go insane!<\/p>\n

GNANI:<\/strong> GO!!\u00a0 Let nothing hold you back.\u00a0 Sanity has gotten you nowhere!\u00a0 BE AFRAID.\u00a0 BE\u00a0 insane.\u00a0 BE.\u00a0 The stillness will not go away … Even in the presence of a tidal wave of fear.\u00a0 Let it capsize over you and see WHO is left standing.<\/p>\n

Egoic Mind:<\/em> I can’t.<\/p>\n

GNANI:<\/strong> No bother.\u00a0 YOU needn’t.\u00a0 Breathe.\u00a0 Watch.\u00a0 That is what YOU were designed to do.\u00a0 There is no bravado to muster.\u00a0 No courage to summon.\u00a0 BE.\u00a0 BREATHE.\u00a0 WATCH.<\/p>\n

Egoic Mind:<\/em> Wave upon wave assaults me.\u00a0 I feel sharp pains in my back.<\/p>\n

GNANI:<\/strong> YOU are experiencing sharp pains.\u00a0 Who is this YOU?\u00a0 Don’t answer!\u00a0 Just FEEL the question.<\/p>\n

Egoic Mind:<\/em> This isn’t the non-dual teaching \u2026. However my experience is that there is THAT which seems to witness\/experience the pain.\u00a0 AND there is that which interprets the pain and becomes frightened.<\/p>\n

There is THAT which feels the hot flush and apperceives the fuzzy thinking.\u00a0 Then there is that which interprets these sensations as danger and at once the alarm is pressed.<\/p>\n

GNANI:<\/strong> WHO presses the alarm?<\/p>\n

Egoic Mind:<\/em> That second aspect that interprets.<\/p>\n

GNANI:<\/strong> WHO is that?\u00a0 And WHO was the one that just experienced the sensation or event?<\/p>\n

Egoic Mind:<\/em> Perhaps one is God and one is this me.<\/p>\n

GNANI:<\/strong> Did You not EXPERIENCE the feelings?\u00a0 Before the interpretation, was this non-judging witness not YOU?!\u00a0 Did YOU experience the bliss and emptiness even inside the pit of fire?!!<\/p>\n

Egoic Mind:<\/em> Yes.\u00a0 I experienced the nirvana and samsara simultaneously.<\/p>\n

GNANI:<\/strong> Simultaneously!\u00a0 BOTH as ONE.\u00a0 Could it even be possible to have only half and not the whole?\u00a0 (The Holy)\u00a0 Where would the witness go?<\/p>\n

Egoic Mind:<\/em> I certainly experience nirvana without the burnt taste of fear at times.<\/p>\n

GNANI:<\/strong> Fear is transient and for all purposes irrelevant (as well as the key) in those moments you can recall the satori experience when fear was not present, was there a presence of desire, clinging or hope for the final understanding?<\/p>\n

Egoic Mind:<\/em> At times, yes the egoic mind is present to the experience of nirvana and wants to claim it for its own betterment.\u00a0 But I do believe there are times when just the I AM existed and no egoic mind — at least for brief times.\u00a0 And!\u00a0 I have experienced the taste of hell in complete separation from the God presence.\u00a0 So each seems to exist independently.<\/p>\n

GNANI:<\/strong> Not true!\u00a0 When the primitive brain gets trapped in the circle of suffering, is there not an awareness of God’s absence?\u00a0 Something apperceives a sense of separation because it KNOWS that at the moment it is only looking at one side of the coin.\u00a0 Identification with one side does not mean the other side is non-existent.\u00a0 The mere awareness that there is always something MORE than the fear-trap is proof that YOU are not that fear.<\/p>\n

Egoic Mind:<\/em> I am confused now.<\/p>\n

GNANI:<\/strong> I AM is not confused.\u00a0 The egoic mind feigns ignorance and wants to change the question when it feels itself losing ground.\u00a0 But keep the focus on the enquiry.\u00a0 WHO is having the experience?<\/p>\n

Egoic Mind:<\/em> The internal surge has ended.\u00a0 The heat dissipates and I feel a new sense of chill on the air.\u00a0 My focus wants to turn away, get something to eat, pick up a book or close my eyes and sleep.<\/p>\n

GNANI:<\/strong> The egoic mind wants to look away.\u00a0 Be earnest in the enquiry.\u00a0 WHO is having this experience?\u00a0 Without the face of fear in this moment, what is present?<\/p>\n

Egoic Mind:<\/em> A soft hum in my ears.\u00a0 Water gurgles from the aquarium.\u00a0 Tweets and coos from finches and doves outside my window.\u00a0 This is insane.\u00a0 The mind is still fuzzy but no one now minds.\u00a0 The previous high state of alert has been put on hold.<\/p>\n

STILL the egoic mind wants to claim this, wants a recipe to follow so that it can taste this again and again.<\/p>\n

What was the question?<\/p>\n

GNANI:<\/strong> WHO is having this experience?<\/p>\n

Egoic Mind:<\/em> There is only all of experience.\u00a0 Devoid of a WHO.\u00a0 At the same time the scent of a ‘me’ wafts through the space.<\/p>\n

‘Go insane’ it whispers in remembrance of the instruction.\u00a0 Yet now there seems nowhere to go.<\/p>\n

Why can’t enlightenment follow on the heels of such a deep teaching?<\/p>\n

GNANI:<\/strong> WHO seeks enlightenment?<\/p>\n

Egoic Mind:<\/em> Me!\u00a0 That which remembers every step of my childhood and is terrified of the future.\u00a0 And that at once recognizes that ‘it’ will never become enlightened because ‘it’ is only one aspect of the whole (The Holy) which is already awake.<\/p>\n

It is like the hand wanting to become The Body.\u00a0 It twitters it’s fingers and clentches it’s fist.\u00a0 Touching everything.\u00a0 Grasping for anything.\u00a0 Searching fruitlessly to Become the body.\u00a0 Not knowing that It IS already the body — that as Hand it IS Body.\u00a0 But at the same time it can only ever be hand.<\/p>\n

Simple.\u00a0 Absurd as well.\u00a0 Existential perhaps.<\/p>\n

A disembodied hand looking to become The Body.\u00a0 Creepy.<\/p>\n

GNANI:<\/strong> Insane?<\/p>\n

Egoic Mind:<\/em> The stuff horror movies are made of.<\/p>\n

GNANI:<\/strong> WHO is watching the horror movie?<\/p>\n

Egoic Mind:<\/em> The one handed man eating the popcorn?<\/p>\n

GNANI:<\/strong> I AM.<\/p>\n

Egoic Mind:<\/em> In this small moment of stillness, peace and space … I KNOW.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
