They say, whoever they are, that selling a house can be as traumatic as losing a loved one.\u00a0 Indeed as a house bound lady with a life limiting illness, “leaving home” has quite a bit of story attached to this two story abode.\u00a0\u00a0 And as I desperately seek the new house that I will call home and pray to the gods of Escrow that both houses close in tight synchronicity to make all of this earth shaking possible, I am reminded to stay EVER PRESENT in THIS MOMENT.\u00a0 Which of course is a challenge, even for an old zen chick.\u00a0 There are memories of raising my three children contained in these 32 walls (MLS listed the house as 8 rooms, I took the liberty of some poetic math).\u00a0 And there are tears, fears and trauma in deeply rutted groves in the floorboards of my mind.\u00a0 There’s no doubt its time to leave the past behind me and move forward into my new life.<\/p>\n

And while the horizon is sunny out into the long term future for my soul mate and I, the short term crisis of loans and lending, buying and selling, and hopelessly looking for high speed internet in the new location are all pulling me away from The Now.<\/p>\n

So much ado, so little rhyme.<\/p>\n

I find mySelf often lost in mathematical oxymorons.\u00a0 Wondering how, why, when and of course WHAT IF?!!<\/p>\n

\nof lulls and lunges,
\nquick turns and sudden drops
\nthat take your breath away
\n… if you let it.
\nIf you forget that
\nthe breath is your ticket home.
\nThere is no better time than right now,
\nto allow your shoulders to release the weight of the world
\nyou thought you were carrying and simply
\nenjoy the next breath
\nthat automagically
\ncomes into your lungs.
\nAnd it WILL come,
\nyou don’t need to force it,
\nyou don’t have to count it
\nor worry that
\nsomehow it will be lost in the chaos.
\nGrace provides for the next breath
\n… the next step.
\nThe gentle wind turns the page
\nso that we can
\nbegin our new chapter,
\nthe next verse in our
